- Zhifeng and Yan's paper "Empirical evaluation of Multi-level Buffer Cache Collaboration for Storage Systems" has been accepted by SIGMEMTRICS'05, the best conference in measurement and modeling. SIGMETRICS'05 is very competitive with 13% acceptance rate (31/237)
- Pin and Feng's ISCA'04 paper, iWatcher, and Zhenmin's ASPLOS'04 paper, performance-directed energy management has been selected into IEEE special issues on Top Picks from Architecture Conferences, Dec 2004
- We have got 1 paper accepted by HPCA'05, a top conference on architecture. The acceptance rate is only 15%(28/181)
- We have got 1 paper accepted by Micro'04, a best conference on micro-architecture. The acceptance rate is only 18%(29/158)

- Two summer students, sponsored by the CRA-W DMP (distributed mentorship project) from Univ. of Utah will work with the group for the summer

- We have won the IBM Shared University Research Award, which will provide our research projects with $199,000 of IBM equipments including servers, workstations, storage, network and relevant software including IBM DB2, IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner, IBM Storage Tank, IBM Tivoli
